Air travel has never been quite this exciting until now. It used to be that your only choice to get away from some of the chaos of airline travel was to travel in business class or first class, but now a days even that does not make for a smooth and easy travel day.

From there you are on your way to the security check point. Here you must wait again as travelers place carry on items on the conveyor belt, remove their shoes, belts and anything else that may set the alarms off. They you need to wait for everyone to gather their belongs before the line advances, or for the security guards to remove any items for the carry ons that are not permitted on the plane. From there you are headed to your terminal, which depending on the airport requires another license check along with your boarding pass.
If you are looking enough to make it through the security checks without much hassle you will then need to sit in the terminal for the remainder of the time and wait for your flight to arrive, the passengers on it to depart and the staff to prepare it for your departure. This alone can take up to an hour. By the time you are called to board you find that you are on a plan with passengers who are already exhausted, and many of them are agitated and cranky.
